Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and assemble pumps and motors.
  • Use test equipment including surge testers, meggers, multi meters, high pot testers.
  • Understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures.
  • Perform pump and motor repair, cleaning, removal, installation, dry ice cleaning, rewinding, testing, and new equipment installations.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary by management. All work will be done with experienced personnel for on-the-job training until sufficient experience is obtained to work independently.

Secondary Functions
  • Assist other shop departments/shops with skilled or non-skilled duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Interact with customers regularly.
Requirements
  • Good mechanical attitude.
  • Willing to travel up to 5 days a week and overnight as needed.
  • Knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
  • Electromechanical experience is a plus.
  • Rigging and machinery moving experience is helpful.
  • Millwright’s experience preferred.
  • Provide own hand tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper PPE as needed.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Willing to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain training to do so.
Working Conditions
  • Work at customer sites including ships, mills, power stations, and manufacturing facilities across WI, MN, MI, IL regions, inside and outside, year-round.
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, walking, and stairs.
