Job summary

Atlas Copco Edwards, on-site service engineer team lead, will oversee a team delivering preventative maintenance and support for critical vacuum and abatement systems at customer sites in Austin, TX. You’ll coordinate field activities, mentor technicians, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with a focus on responsive onsite problem-solving and continuous improvement in partnership with customers

Qualifications

• AS degree or equivalent in relevant technical field.
• 5 years related industry experience with training/competencies.
• Knowledge areas: Electronic, mechanical, chemical, or gas in Semiconductor industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs team daily operational activities while serving as single point of contact for customer for all Installation Qualification issues.
• Establishes and audits local operating procedures to provide a training aid and reference source for Edwards and customer personnel.
• Performs special projects at customer site with supervision from senior technical experts or project management.
• Maintains records of repairs and maintenance using local database; develops preventive maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Assists with failure analysis by providing information on mode of failure for each equipment failure.
• Submits information to Edwards technical department to drive equipment improvements.
• Writes weekly/monthly reports on activities performed at customer sites based on requirements.
• Works with Site Lead and Site Manager to ensure 7x24 escalation support for site team.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment.
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor and completes other duties as assigned.

Job description

The On-site Service Engineer Team Lead is responsible for performing and supervising semi-routine preventative maintenance of products through well-defined schedules and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Directs team daily operational activities while providing single point of contact for customer for all Installation Qualification related issues.
• Establishes and audits local operating procedures to provide a training aid and reference source for Edwards and customer personnel.
• Performs special projects at customer site with supervision as needed from senior technical experts or project management.
• Maintains records of repairs and maintenance performed using local database. Develops and maintains a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment that will ensure optimum performance.
• Assists with failure analysis by providing information on mode of failure on each equipment failure.
• Submits information to Edwards technical department to drive equipment improvements.
• Writes weekly/monthly reports on activities that have been performed at a customer’s site based on customer and regional management requirements.
• Works with Site Lead and Site Manager to ensure 7x24 escalation support for site team.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor and completes other duties as assigned.

To succeed, you will need

• AS degree or equivalent in relevant technical field (full military equivalent may substitute for AS with HR and supervisory approval) OR4+ years' related technical experience (i.e., military, electromechanical devices, comms).
• 5 years related industry experience including the completion of relevant training and competencies profiles defined within the training plan for the current position and has demonstrated understanding of the product.

Knowledge areas/Skills

• Electronic, mechanical, chemical, or gas in the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
