Job summary

Edwards is seeking an Onsite Service Engineer to perform on-site repair and maintenance for our vacuum and abatement systems. You will work at customer sites, inspect equipment, and deliver expert service with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

The role requires a High School Diploma (AS degree preferred) and 1–3 years in a related technical field, with excellent English communication and customer-facing experience. On-site work with travel expectations may apply.

Your mission as theOnsite Service Engineeris to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will:

• Report into the Site Manager.
• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. You will also diagnose any issues prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

To succeed, you will need

• High School Diploma.
• Prefer an AS degree (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree).
• 1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. Ideally, with customer facing experience.

• Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge and provide coaching to less experienced team members.
• Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.
• Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.
• Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
• Can understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work e.g., technical drawings.
