Job summary

Dewpoint seeks a hands-on quality engineer to own Playwright automation, API testing, SQL validation, and exploratory/manual testing. You will write maintainable TypeScript and help shape the automation architecture, not just scripts.

You will expand the Playwright framework, build reusable fixtures, API clients, and CI/CD integrations with Jenkins. Collaboration with developers, product owners, and testers is essential as you validate data in Oracle and investigate failures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for UI/API automation.
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals.
• Experience designing maintainable automation.
• Experience testing modern web apps, preferably Angular.
• Experience testing Java-based REST APIs.
• SQL experience for backend validation, preferably Oracle.
• Experience with CI/CD automation via Jenkins or similar.
• Experience with Git-based source control workflows.
• Ability to diagnose failures across UI, API, database, test code, data, and environment layers.
• Exploratory and manual testing experience.
• Ability to work independently and communicate defects clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UI and API automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Expand the existing Playwright framework and establish reusable fixtures, API clients, utilities, and coding standards.
• Create automated coverage for Angular applications and Java-based REST APIs.
• Integrate and execute automated tests through Jenkins.
• Investigate failures using traces, logs, network activity, API responses, and SQL.
• Validate application processing and data using Oracle SQL; perform manual testing as needed.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria for gaps, edge cases, risks, and testability.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and testers throughout story development.
• Participate in code reviews and improve reliability and maintainability of automation.
• Identify flaky or low-value tests and address root causes.
