Job summary

Intuitive Safety Solutions (ISS) seeks an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to monitor onsite safety across a major hyperscale data center construction near Manassas, Virginia. The senior role will independently evaluate contractor compliance with safety requirements and the Construction Safety Management Plan throughout multiple project phases.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, hazard assessments, and documenting actions in Procore, with the ability to Stop Work on imminent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree in Health and Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, plus at least three years of experience implementing health and safety programs.
• Five years of experience implementing health and safety management programs in industrial, civil, technology-related, or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of demolition and blasting safety requirements and OSHA construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite health and safety monitoring across active construction areas.
• Evaluate contractor compliance with project safety requirements and the Construction Safety Management Plan.
• Conduct routine site inspections, field observations, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Document inspections and corrective actions in Procore.
• Escalate significant safety concerns to project leadership as needed.
• Build relationships with project owners, managers, contractors, and field personnel.
