Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a per diem, on-site role in the NGH Nursing Float Pool. The nurse will provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating patient care and using the nursing process under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.

Education must include graduation from a school of professional nursing and NC RN licensure with BLS. One year of nursing experience is preferred, with variable work schedules and on-site

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - Delivers patient care using nursing standards and organizes care per patient needs.
• Leadership - Supports goals and promotes interdepartmental collaboration and safe care.
• Patient Assessment - Assesses data to determine priorities for care and anticipates discharge needs.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to plan care and uses multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - Reads journals for applicable studies and shares ideas with staff.
