This full-time, on-site role includes community outreach and requires driving clients in a personal vehicle.

The position emphasizes lived-experience support, treatment-team collaboration, and assisting with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Entry level (no prior related work experience)
• Requires driving clients in a personal vehicle, WA driver's license in good standing, driving check, and transportation
• Valid WA State Food Worker Card
• LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration and Peer Counselor Training within six months

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support discharge planning for clients with complex needs.
• Provide encouragement and support using lived experience.
• Promote hope, empowerment, and self-determination in recovery goals.
• Offer individualized peer support aligned with each client’s treatment plan.
• Assist clients in understanding recovery, resiliency, and wellness strategies.
• Facilitate approved support groups and participate in clinical activities.
• Observe and report changes and follow behavioral support plans.
• Complete direct client care documentation and e‑cet notes.
• Participate in shift pass-downs to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide insights from client perspective to the treatment team regarding recovery and medications.
• Support stigma reduction and recovery-oriented practices awareness.
• Assist clients with understanding and exercising their rights and grievance processes.
• Connect clients with peer support resources in the community.
• Assist with ongoing assessment of mental health, substance use, suicidality, and daily functioning.
• Support planning and participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Provide timely verbal and written updates on client progress.
• Maintain professional boundaries and seek supervision when needed.
• Attend trainings, staff meetings, and orientations.
