Job summary

EA Talent Solutions is engaged by a Delaware County, PA, real estate development and property management firm to recruit an experienced Controller for onsite leadership of the accounting function.

The ideal candidate will run day-to-day accounting and deliver financial reporting used by leadership and lenders, with a view to building and owning the function in a stable, community-focused business.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience with controller or senior controller responsibilities.
• Real estate or property management accounting experience is required.
• Strong command of GAAP, month-end close, financial statement prep, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity and partnership accounting, tenant recoveries, CAM, utilities, and real estate tax reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting function, including GL, journal entries, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports across the property portfolio.
• Manage month-end and year-end close across multiple property entities and partnerships.
• Oversee tenant billing and recoveries for rent, CAM charges, utilities, and real estate taxes, including CAM reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules and track capital projects and expenditures.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and reporting for lenders, audits, acquisitions, etc.
• Coordinate with outside CPAs on tax filings and serve as primary financial contact for ownership and property staff.
