Job summary

Alstom in West Mifflin, PA is seeking a full-time onsite Project Quality Safety Manager to lead quality and safety across railway project lifecycles. You will coordinate with engineering, supplier quality, and operations to ensure adherence to PQMP, drive improvements, and manage budgets on complex, multi‑discipline projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on quality leadership, risk mitigation, and close collaboration with geographically distributed teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, preferably with a project management background.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing-related experience with SOPs, process implementation and production schedules.
• Experience with Quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, QRQC, FMEA).
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Quality Safety Manager and lead quality aspects of assigned projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings to define expectations and deliverables.
• Track project schedules and milestones; gather and validate data from stakeholders.
• Identify risks and quality issues; drive problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Review drawings and specifications to flag nonconformances and resolve questions.
• Oversee quality processes, SOPs, and implementation on shop floor or project scope.
• Manage budgets and cost impacts related to projects.
• Act as on-site representative for quality and engage stakeholders in real time.
