Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Bowling Green, OH team. This on-site role focuses on developing and maintaining quality systems to meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.

You will lead CAPA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to reduce defects and drive process excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, PPAP, etc).
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5 Whys, etc).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control processes.
• Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Design and execute testing procedures and validation protocols.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer, regulatory, ISO, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality data and generate reports with actionable insights.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, and changes to identify potential quality risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (IATF-16949, ISO-9001, and ISO-14001)
• Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
