Job summary

Cianbro is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical support on-site, ensuring quality controls, contract compliance, scheduling, documentation, and safe, ethical construction. You will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws while supporting the project team.

Responsibilities include developing work packages, master schedule, tracking vendors and subcontractors, maintaining logs, and generating procurement reports.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management.
• Thorough knowledge of construction aspects including technology, equipment, methods, safety.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, value-added engineering means & methods, develop work packages and master schedule.
• Identify state or local environmental compliance requirements and educate team on permits.
• Research and resolve design/drawing conflicts to meet codes and specs.
• Verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity.
• Interpret production goals from work packages and communicate them to crews.
• Track progress of vendors and subcontractors for timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain the project schedule to assist project leadership.
• Generate and maintain logs and correspondence with the client/owner.
• Provide engineering input to the daily job log and procurement reports.
• Identify, document, and estimate costs of extra work; maintain change order log.
• Coordinate submittals transmittal and approvals with Owner/Engineer.
