Job summary
RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – Section Responsible Systems Engineer to lead requirements development and verification across the program life cycle.
You will coordinate with Systems, Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer, mentor new engineers, and drive verification planning and reviews to ensure first-time readiness for warfighters. This onsite role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, firmware, hardware, requirements, integration or test.
- Experience in test planning and verification of system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead effort to update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications.
- SE technical lead for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are assessed during Verification and Qualification Testing.
- SE technical lead, working with Systems and Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer on various program tasks.
- Lead Systems Verification Reviews with Chief Engineer and IPT Leadership.
- Become the knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the program.
- Onboard, mentor, and guide new team members using core Systems Engineering skills.
