Job summary

MR Lowcountry, LLC seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead Southeast operations onsite, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety across multi-shift teams.

The role oversees capacity planning, OEE improvements, and budget adherence within a cGMP-regulated environment, coordinating with QA, engineering, and supply chain to deliver value. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including 3+ years in plant/site manager or senior operations leadership role.
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment (biotech, pharma, or related life sciences manufacturing).
• Experience in specialty ingredient manufacturing, chemical, or bio-processing plant.
• Strong working knowledge of FDA regulations, batch record systems, and quality management systems.
• Proven track record managing P&L, budgets, and capital projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi-shift teams and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, yield targets, and cost budgets.
• Oversee capacity planning, batch scheduling, and resource allocation across production teams.
• Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), right-first-time rate, and cycle time improvements.
• Ensure adequate staffing, shift coverage, and cross-training across production areas.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and batch records; support QA deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and audits.
• Lead site safety initiatives; own site safety metrics and regulatory compliance.
• Coach and develop supervisors and staff; foster cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and R&D.
