Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Greeley Hospital in Colorado is seeking a part-time receptionist/Registration Clerk to handle patient arrival, registration and clerical tasks onsite. You will verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations when needed, and assist patients and families with questions in a friendly, efficient manner.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Provides receptionist, registration and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patient or caregiver to exchange information and documents; explains visit and addresses questions.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as needed.
• Escort and transport patients/visitors within facility (may include wheelchair or oxygen).
• Determines and accepts payments (co-pays, deductibles) or refers to financial counselors; inputs data accurately.
• Works with critical thinking and minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
