Job summary

UCHealth seeks a Patient Access Specialist to perform receptionist, registration, and clerical duties for patient services at UCHealth Central Park Med Center in Denver. This onsite role is dayshift and PRN, with a pay range of $19.67-$25.57 per hour, based on experience.

You will verify benefits, collect co-pays/deductibles, and ensure demographic, billing, and clinical data are accurately entered in the system.

Qualifications

• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification.
• Ability to explain visits, collect payments, and handle clerical tasks accurately.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients/caregivers and collects necessary information and documents.
• Communicates with providers and departments to coordinate scheduling.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification when needed.
• Determines and collects payments (co-pays/deductibles) and logs data in registration system.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, judgment, and minimal supervision.
