Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in Washington, DC seeks a Core Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Motorola P25 radio systems supporting federal operations. This onsite role requires hands-on RF and LMR expertise and a track record of keeping critical communications up in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting Motorola LMR systems.
• Hands-on experience supporting Motorola P25 radio infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of RF communications and radio network operations.
• Experience with radio site deployment, maintenance, and operational support.
• Effective communicator with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and equipment.
• Build, stage, test, and deploy radio site packages for customer requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on radio sites to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve radio infrastructure issues at customer locations.
• Prepare equipment for events, operations, and emergency deployments.
• Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and performance validation.
• Document maintenance procedures and technical findings.
