Job summary

Kiwa PPI is seeking an experienced Onsite Oversight Quality Manager for a contract / freelance assignment to lead quality personnel on a major construction project. You will oversee documentation, NDE activities, and compliance across site execution, interfacing with EPC teams and inspectors.

The role demands 10+ years of QA/QC on site, strong communication, and AWS CWI. Onsite, 44 hours/week, 1099 engagement. Independent contractor with flexibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of site QA/QC experience on large projects.
• Experience with EPC organizations and workflows.
• Proven knowledge of NDE/NDT methods and inspection standards.
• AWS CWI certification is required or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onsite quality personnel and activities.

Job Summary

Kiwa PPI is seeking an experienced Onsite Oversight Quality Manager for a contract / freelance (1099) assignment supporting a major construction project. This position will provide onsite leadership and oversight of quality personnel, activities, documentation, and compliance throughout project execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive site construction QA/QC experience, strong knowledge of NDE methods, and experience working both with and for EPC organizations.

Contract Details

• Engagement Type: Independent Contractor / Freelance / 1099

• Work Location: Onsite

• Schedule: Five (5) days per week (Approx. 44 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all onsite quality oversight personnel and activities.

• Coordinate scheduling and deployment of quality and inspection personnel.

• Manage quality reporting and ensure accurate, timely documentation.

• Identify, establish, and monitor required witness and hold points.

• Provide overall oversight of project quality programs and requirements.

• Develop, review, and approve quality documentation, procedures, inspection records, and related deliverables.

• Monitor construction activities for compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with EPC personnel, construction teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders to address quality issues.

• Provide oversight of applicable NDE/NDT methods and activities.

• Support quality audits, surveillance activities, nonconformance resolution, and corrective actions.

• Maintain complete and accurate project quality records.

• Perform additional project-related quality responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of site construction QA/QC experience.

• Demonstrated experience working with and for an EPC organization.

• Experience and working knowledge of NDE/NDT methods.

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of construction quality programs, inspection processes, and quality documentation.

• Experience managing or providing oversight of onsite quality personnel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively interface with construction management, EPC teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
