Job summary

nTech Workforce is seeking a detail-oriented Network Security Engineer to support a leading energy provider at nuclear generation facilities in Pennsylvania. You will focus on firewall traffic control, Splunk SIEM engineering, and OT infrastructure upgrades in a 100% onsite role in Delta or Pottstown.

The position requires 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, expertise with Cisco Firepower, and a strong server/industrial network background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity or network security experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower firewalls and rule sets.
• Splunk SIEM engineering experience with alert tuning and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of server systems and industrial network architecture.
• Must pass nuclear security processing and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer cyber defensive infrastructure across plant systems and lab environments.
• Maintain and update Cisco Firepower firewall rule sets to manage traffic.
• Perform Splunk SIEM engineering, including alert tuning, detection engineering, and dashboard updates.
• Utilize detailed technical documentation to run tests, verify updates, and perform patch maintenance.
• Collaborate with Senior Cyber SMEs to troubleshoot lab issues and implement verified changes.
• Adhere to nuclear work management, change control, and configuration control processes.
