Job summary

MANTECH is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Quantico, VA, on-site. You will support Marine Corps mission engineering, warfighting analysis, and capability development through data-driven modeling, simulation, and analysis.

The role requires a strong foundation in quantitative methods, programming, and technical communication. You will work with government stakeholders and senior leaders to deliver actionable recommendations and research products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in operations research, mathematics, statistics, data science, engineering, physics, computer science, or related analytical discipline with 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience; 10 years total experience without a degree.
• Experience applying structured analytical methods to complex multi-variable problems with objectives, constraints, and uncertainties.
• Proficiency with Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, SAS, SPSS, AFSIM, and data visualization tools.
• Experience writing technical research reports, analytic briefings, and visualizations for stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Ability to collaborate with analysts, engineers, weapon system operators, and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of Marine Corps warfighting concepts, mission threads, weapon system capabilities, and concepts of operation in support of mission engineering and operational assessments.
• Support mission engineering by defining analytic problems, formulating research questions, and developing study plans that model Marine Corps capabilities in warfighting scenarios.
• Develop and apply analytical methods, run matrices, and evaluation frameworks to assess mission effectiveness, gaps, and trade-space options across services.
• Interpret analytic results to identify trends, risks, capability gaps, and mission impacts, then translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver technical research reports, briefings, visualizations, and other analytic products for government stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams and serve as a program lead for small analytic teams supporting mission-focused studies.
