Job summary

Education requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy and MA licensure or eligibility. Prior pharmacist experience (2–3 years) is preferred; strong knowledge of drug information, IV admixtures, and medication management is expected.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist license required or eligible.
• Experience as a pharmacist preferred (2–3 years).
• Familiarity with drug information, IV admixtures and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Supervises and verifies the accuracy of all work completed by support personnel during an assigned shift.
• Operates within the limits of pharmacy policy and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with target drug programs, formulary management and adverse drug event monitoring.
• Documents and reports clinical interventions and medication errors.
• Participates in department quality improvement efforts.
• Follows all laws and regulations set forth by the Board of Pharmacy and others.
