Job summary

Albers Aerospace is seeking an MQ9 Avionics Technician I for on-site work in Okinawa, Japan. The role covers inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of aircraft avionics and related electrical systems to ensure mission readiness.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of avionics or GCS maintenance, familiarity with electronics, and the ability to deploy internationally. A DoD security clearance and U.S. passport are required, with training planned for DoD certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent military/vocational training.
• Minimum 1 year avionics or GCS maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic electronics maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of RFF systems, components, and accessories.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.
• Must obtain IAT Level II certs within 90 days of hire or after second deployment.
• Must deploy to forward locations as directed by government.
• Must have current/active DoD security clearance.
• Must have DoD background checks and passport validity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Support GCS operations and deployments with test equipment and data analysis.
• Follow maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Work independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments.
• Maintain readiness for worldwide deployment and CONUS/OCONUS support.
