Essnova Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support the NERSC HPC environment. The role is onsite in California with a strict midnight-8:00 AM shift, five days a week, and no sponsorship.

You will manage Linux-based systems, automate incident response, and integrate monitoring pipelines with Kubernetes, ServiceNow, and HPC tooling to ensure 24/7 reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong Linux, scripting and programming skills.
• Experience with HPC, data centers, or large-scale IT infra.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HPC systems, storage, networks and data center infrastructure.
• Triage alerts and coordinate on-call escalation.
• Develop automation to improve operations and incident response.
• Collaborate across teams to maintain reliability and performance.
• Use ServiceNow for incident management and workflows.
• Maintain monitoring pipelines and integrations with system APIs.
• Configure and manage hardware, software, and data center tooling.
