Job summary

The Squires Group is seeking a Software Developer in Annapolis, MD to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications and APIs. You will work with Angular on the frontend and .NET/C# on the backend, collaborating with analysts, QA, and data teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions.

This contract-to-hire, onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and offers an on-site cafeteria and free parking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Angular development experience.
• 3+ years of .NET / ASP.NET Core and C# development experience.
• Experience developing and supporting REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Familiarity with JWT, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or similar authentication technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, .NET / ASP.NET Core, C#, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to established processes, and respond to evolving business priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required per our client contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Angular, .NET, and C#.
• Develop and support REST APIs and backend services.
• Integrate applications with SQL Server stored procedures provided by the data team.
• Implement business requirements and technical specifications provided by Business Analysts.
• Collaborate with QA personnel to troubleshoot defects and support testing efforts.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Support application deployments and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
