Job summary

SHR Consulting Group is seeking an Emergency Management COOP Specialist to support mission assurance and continuity planning at a government facility, primarily the Pentagon. The role integrates EMP/ERP/OEP development, RMF alignment, and hazard/vulnerability assessments to maintain operational resilience.

Active Secret clearance required, on-site in the NCR region. You will coordinate with PFPA and other agencies, lead COOP programs, and contribute to disaster recovery and incident response

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or related field; seven years of relevant experience.
• DoW 8570.01-M / DoW 8140 certification (IAT/IAM) as applicable.
• FEMA Continuity Certification; Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Emergency Management Plan (EMP) for all-hazards preparedness, response, and recovery.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) aligned with J6 COOP framework.
• Coordinate emergency planning with PFPA and federal/state/local agencies.
• Lead emergency-management programs across preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.
• Coordinate quarterly failover tests of COOP systems and maintain DRP for consolidated facilities.
