Job summary

KBI Biopharma, Inc. is seeking a senior microbiology professional to support environmental monitoring, clean utility monitoring, and product testing programs.

The role requires onsite laboratory work and hands-on leadership in training staff and ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities include executing experiments, developing verification protocols, and ensuring proper labeling, handling, and disposal of biohazards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required.
• Master’s degree in Microbiology preferred with 3–5 years experience; Doctorate with 1–3 years experience considered.
• Minimum 5–7 years of technical management experience (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and interpret results to support program goals.
• Perform testing when required.
• Understand monitoring programs and conduct troubleshooting analysis.
• Develop and verify method qualifications and investigations; perform testing as needed.
• Train and mentor the Quality Microbiology team and staff on programs.
• Maintain awareness of current regulations and literature; ensure training is up to date.
• Label, handle, and store chemicals and biohazards properly; manage hazardous waste and safety training.
