Job summary

BioTouch in Columbus, GA is seeking an Inventory Specialist to build and maintain the Customer Supplied Materials storage area, perform cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy in a secure warehouse.

The role requires picking, staging, and replenishing materials, daily cycle counts, and coordination with Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service to prevent shortages. Training teammates and following 5S practices are part of the job, with lifting up to 30–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience with Inventory Control in a warehouse environment.
• Familiar with cycle counts in a warehouse environment.
• Picking and stocking material in an accurate manner in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with barcode scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of shipping regulations, inventory transactions, and documentation requirements.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or medical device environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, organize, and maintain the Customer Supplied Materials storage area while ensuring inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Pick, stage, and replenish materials for work orders in a timely and accurate manner to support production schedules.
• Perform daily cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory control.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Utilize barcode scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately record inventory transactions and material movement.
• Train and support associates working within the customer-supplied inventory area while promoting standard work practices and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with 5S principles and company policies.
