LanguageLine Solutions – Onsite Division in Indianapolis is seeking skilled Medical Interpreters to join our network as independent contractors, providing face-to-face interpretation in healthcare facilities. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity to ensure clear communication for patients with limited English proficiency.

Ideal candidates are fluent in English and another language, possess strong medical terminology knowledge, and can work on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one target language (spoken and understood at a professional level).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proven medical interpreting experience (preferred).
• Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
• Educational background in languages or interpretation (a plus).

Responsibilities
