• Two + years’ experience in a physician practice business office performing AR follow-up, denial management and reimbursement activities.
• Overall knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review, research and perform claim follow-up on insurance denials.
• Submit tiered appeals using precise arguments based on clinical documentation and payer medical policies.
• Navigate Practice Management and EHR to identify aged outstanding balances.
• Review medical necessity to defend high dollar claims.
• Identify, review, research, and resolve credit balances ensuring the correct disposition of funds.
• Maintain strong documentation to provide a historical timeline of actions taken.
