Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions in San Angelo, TX is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Inventory Specialist for a local onsite W2 contract role. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Pay: $22/hour; must have valid driver’s license.

The role supports material accountability, storeroom operations and inventory control, including receiving, packing, shipping, forklift operation and data entry into Maximo and Excel.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo; Microsoft Excel and Word experience is also preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Issue material under proper authorization and process related records.
• Check received material for quantity and condition; file receipt records.
• Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
• Record material returned and organize usable vs non-usable stock.
• Operate terminals and office equipment supporting the system.
• Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials procedures.
