Job summary

ABB is seeking a maintenance professional to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems at our Fort Smith, Arkansas site. You will interpret electrical schematics, operate electrical tools, and research technical information to repair new or unfamiliar equipment.

You will also perform preventative maintenance, keep repair records, and ensure safety procedures are followed, including lockout/tagout.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Alternatively, 2 years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
3+ years in manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, control systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
Able to read technical documentation and diagnose machine issues.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Interpret electrical schematics and use electrical tools.
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain repair records.
Keep maintenance area clean and compliant with safety procedures.
Collaborate with machine operators and support overtime needs.
