Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Minneapolis site. The role focuses on performing laboratory testing on fluid/process samples, ensuring accurate handling, instrument operation, and complete data logging to support trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in lab science or related field.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience preferred; entry-level with coursework considered.
• Comfortable handling biological fluids and following biosafety practices.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to document work clearly and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and process fluid samples per written procedures and chain-of-custody.
• Prepare samples and run tests to detect/quantify targets using approved methods.
• Identify interferents and artifacts and distinguish them from true signals.
• Perform instrument setup, calibration/verification, and basic troubleshooting; document out-of-specs and escalate as needed.
• Maintain complete laboratory records including calculations, raw data, and observations.
• Support method improvements by documenting atypical findings and suggesting refinements.
• Keep workspace clean and stocked; manage inventory for scheduled testing.
• Log sample identifiers and metadata to ensure traceability.
• Record results and notes with standard terminology for grouping and trend analysis.
