Job summary

Baker Hughes in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an RDD Tech I to support laboratory operations by receiving, processing, tracking, and coordinating chemical samples to ensure accurate testing and smooth workflow. Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training.
• Experience in industrial, laboratory, logistics, shipping/receiving or admin preferred.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and securing incoming chemical samples according to procedures.
• Logging and tracking samples using internal systems and documentation tools.
• Reviewing shipment information and verifying against ASI paperwork.
• Opening, inspecting, and labeling samples for proper processing.
• Coordinating notification of sample receipt with stakeholders.
• Identifying discrepancies such as labeling errors or missing information.
• Communicating with customers and requestors to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate records using Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Supporting lab personnel by proper sample categorization and distribution.
• Following Baker Hughes HSE policies and lab procedures.
• Maintaining an organized, safe, and professional workspace.
