Job summary

Junior Penetration Tester—Cyber Engineer at CACI in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will join a dedicated team of engineers performing hands-on assessments of complex systems using penetration testing and threat-hunting techniques on site.

Required active Secret clearance with a path to TS/SCI, a related bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, and strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and common security frameworks. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational understanding of Linux operating systems and commands.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as the CIA triad, threats and cyber defense.
• Strong grasp of networking, TCP/IP, virtualization, containerization, and web services.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, DoD/NSA standards, or industry-standard V&V & PT standards.
• Experience with popular penetration testing tools (nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Nessus).
• 1-2 years of exploitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth assessments and analyses of complex systems using penetration testing and threat-hunting techniques.
• Work hands-on with the latest electronics as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
