The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while communicating professionally with patients, insurers, and hospital staff. Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts to verify services and billing data are accurate and complete.
• Document information to support claim submission.
• Run daily billing reports and correct discrepancies.
• Submit Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial claims electronically or on paper as appropriate.
• Review claims for accuracy before submission.
• Transmit electronic claims through established systems.
• Maintain knowledge of payer-specific billing rules.
