Job summary

Wood PLC is seeking an Instrument and Control (Automation-PlantPAx) Commissioning Supervisor for on-site work in the United States. The role requires extensive commissioning experience in oil & gas facilities, leading a multi-discipline instrument team, and strong PlantPAx/SCADA skills.

You will design, test, and start-up automation systems, coordinate activities with engineering and operations, and ensure safe practices per PTW.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent experience in chemical, electrical, or mechanical fields.
Extensive hands-on commissioning experience with PLC/DCS automation within oil & gas.
Experience with PlantPAx, SCADA/HMI platforms, and fire & gas systems.
Strong English communication skills; ability to lead a multi-discipline team.
FEED phase exposure and front-end interface with clients.
Proven supervisory experience in commissioning instrumentation, controls, and automation.

Responsibilities

Inspect, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot control instrumentation and fire & gas equipment.
Lead system design, testing, startup, and commissioning of automation projects.
Coordinate multi-discipline teams; interface with clients during project phases.
Develop and execute commissioning procedures for instrumentation systems.
Ensure safety and compliance with PTW procedures on site.
Provide on-site leadership and progress reporting to project management.
