Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) is seeking an HVAC Designer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role requires strong HVAC design and 3D modeling skills within a secure, regulated environment.

The candidate should have an Associate Degree in HVAC or Fire Protection with several years of design experience, be a U.S. citizen, and capable of obtaining/maintaining a DOE security clearance. This is an onsite, full-time position with family-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in HVAC or Fire Protection with two or more years of relevant HVAC/Fire Sprinkler design experience.
• Five or more years of progressive and relevant experience in HVAC design and 3D modeling.
• U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance (DOE).

Responsibilities

• Plan, self-perform tasks, and multi-task on multiple projects.
• Present information clearly through oral and written communication; use automated workflow systems.
• Coordinate verification and validation of documents with technical and operations personnel before release for approval.
• Develop and maintain historical information related to projects.
• Prepare, interpret, maintain, and incorporate requirements of technical drawings and operating documents.
