Job summary

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a Full-Time Onsite Health Assistant to support our onsite health clinic at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. You will work directly with patients, handling scheduling, intake, vital signs, screenings, health education, and clinical support.

The role involves front-office duties, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring accurate patient information and smooth clinic operations under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a Health Sciences, Health Assistant program or related post-secondary education preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and first aid.
• 1 year work experience preferred (customer service, medical office, health or fitness industry, sport and rec, or related field).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage check-in/out.
• Take vitals and assist with screenings per provider guidance.
• Assist RN/APP/physician with procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
• Enter and maintain patient demographic and insurance information.
