Job summary

One World Global Services is seeking a US-based on-site Haitian Creole interpreter. The role involves providing interpretation in medical and educational settings and empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of interpretation experience, be able to interpret between Haitian Creole and English, adhere to ethics guidelines, and demonstrate strong written communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of interpretation experience.
• Good command of Haitian Creole and English for interpretation.
• Adherence to NCIHC Code of Ethics / Standards of Practice.
• Accurate and timely completion of tasks and paperwork.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed.
• Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, scheduling, and internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site interpretation services between Haitian Creole and English in various settings (medical, educational, etc.).
• Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation in real-time.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable ethics and guidelines.
• Complete tasks and documentation promptly and in line with guidelines.
• Learn and apply new technologies and scheduling tools as required.
• Collaborate with teams to support individuals’ needs and advocate for themselves.

Language: Haitian Creole US-Based Interpreter

We are currently looking for on-site US-based Haitian Creole interpreter. An on-site Haitian Creole interpreter will provide interpretation services in a variety of settings, including medical and educational, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum1 year of interpretation experience


• Effectively interpret between Haitian Creoleand English and vice versa


• Adhere to guidelines for NCIHC Code of Ethics / Standards of Practice


• Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines


• Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies


• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly regulated environment


• Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an ongoing basis
