Job summary

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts is offering a part-time, 12-week graphic design internship onsite in Virginia/Maryland/DC. You will design signage, multi-page publications, invitations, print/web ads, and more while gaining hands-on mentorship to enhance your portfolio.

Ideal candidates are graphic design students or recent grads with strong typography, proofreading skills, and Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Qualifications

Graphic design students with an interest in performing arts preferred.
Strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) on Mac.
Strong understanding and appreciation for typography.
Motion graphic skills a plus.
Strong proofreading skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Upload at least three portfolio samples showing type and layout skills only. Samples must be submitted as a multipage PDF (max file size 5 MB).

Responsibilities

Design signage, multi-page publications, invitations, print/web ads, and more.
Collaborate with the creative team on project concepts and layouts.
Build and refine portfolio-worthy designs through hands-on mentorship.
