Job summary

The Go backend specialist role at Themesoft Inc is a hands-on position based in Tampa with hybrid work options. You will design and maintain robust backend systems, focusing on Golang microservices, PostgreSQL data models, and API design to power our services.

You will collaborate with frontend teams and DevOps, ensure code quality through testing and CI/CD, and contribute to scalable, secure cloud-native solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Golang development experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL design, indexing and optimization.
• Experience building RESTful and gRPC APIs.
• Knowledge of distributed microservices architectures.
• Cloud/DevOps experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud providers.
• Proficient testing, debugging and code quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs using Golang.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, optimize queries for high availability.
• Build RESTful and gRPC interfaces for frontend and third parties.
• Ensure code quality with unit tests and CI/CD integration.

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in the Go programming language (Golang) to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our applications and services. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs using Golang.
• Database Management: Work extensively with PostgreSQL, optimizing queries and ensuring high availability.
• API Design & Integration: Develop RESTful and gRPC APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.
• Code Quality & Performance: Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code with unit testing and CI/CD integration.
• Exception Handling , debugging and troubleshooting
• TypeScript & Frontend Collaboration (Added Advantage): Work closely with frontend teams using TypeScript for seamless API integration.
• Scalability & Security: Implement best practices for scalability, security, and fault tolerance in a cloud-native environment.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevOps, and frontend engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Golang Expertise: 6+ years of hands-on experience in Golang development.
• Database Skills: Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, and optimization.
• API Development: Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Microservices Architecture: Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Testing & Debugging: Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging techniques.
• Version Control: Strong experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Frontend Collaboration (Nice to Have): Exposure to TypeScript, React, or Node.js is a plus.
