Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a GNSS Software V&V Engineer to verify and validate GNSS software requirements, design and implementation to DO-178C DAL A objectives.

You will develop verification plans, execute test cases, and perform functional, integration, robustness and performance testing, collaborating with navigation algorithm engineers and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end reliability onsite.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with 5+ years experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with ARINC429, DO-330 and DO-178C.
• Hands-on Python scripting and test development experience.
• Ability to create test plans and perform software integration testing for avionics.
• Familiarity with verification artifacts, traceability and DO-178C DAL A processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification plans, procedures and test cases for GNSS software.
• Perform unit, integration and system level verification.
• Use automation and GenAI-enhanced tools to improve efficiency.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, tests and results.
• Participate in code reviews, peer reviews and formal verification.
• Collaborate with navigation algorithm engineers, systems and hardware teams for end-to-end performance.
