Job summary

Stefanini Group is actively seeking a Food Scientist - Product Development in Warrendale, PA. The role focuses on directing and executing projects for our North America AFH portfolio, applying scientific principles to new situations, and delivering timely results with minimal guidance.

The candidate will collaborate across internal teams to develop and commercialize new products, conduct experiments, and assess shelf-life and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Food Science, Dairy Science, Meat Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–4 years of real-world product development experience (not entry level).
• Strong bench-top formulation capability is critical in first 90 days.
• Hands-on experience with bench experiments, prototype work, analytical measurements, and lab techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bench top experiments and analytical measurements in the lab.
• Test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutrition, shelf-life, and compliance with standards.
• Support development and commercialization of new or improved products and cost savings initiatives.
• Collaborate with Packaging, Quality, Operations, Project Management, Marketing, and Sales to drive projects to business objectives.
