Actalent in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support product safety on the production floor of a food manufacturing facility. You will perform routine QC checks, line audits, and basic lab tests, and document results to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HACCP and GMP in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Strong math skills for percentage calculations and measurements.
  • Ability to perform routine quality checks and line audits accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC testing on the production floor (metal detection, leak tests, percentage tests).
  • Conduct hourly line audits across production lines and document results.
  • Calculate material percentages and total ounces to verify specifications.
  • Run basic automated tests for moisture, salt, and fat content.
  • Document production and testing data accurately in paper and electronic systems.
  • Collaborate with production to identify and correct deviations from standards.
  • Follow GMP and HACCP procedures to maintain product safety and quality.
  • Cross-train across quality tasks in both lab and floor settings.
