Job summary

SMX is seeking a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Specialist to act as the primary onsite technical authority for the FLRAA MV-75 simulation environment in Huntsville, AL. You will ensure readiness of simulation enclaves, host computers, and facility power/HVAC while supporting training events with the IOS.

The role requires a Secret clearance, 8+ years in flight simulation maintenance or 15+ years without a degree, and hands-on experience with IOS operation and generator testing.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Secret or higher.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience, or 15 years with no degree.
• Prior Aviation Military training valued in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years direct experience in flight simulation maintenance, HWIL, or tactical systems support.

Responsibilities

• Operate simulator and IOS to support military aircrews during training events.
• Perform daily system initialization, readiness testing, and visual display calibration.
• Isolate hardware and software faults to the LRU level and coordinate with engineering for repairs.
• Manage PMCS and monthly load-bank testing on a 10K diesel generator.
• Oversee VIP hosting, site tours, and stakeholder engagement for the FLRAA MV-75 prototype environment.
• Review OEM upgrade plans and assist testing to ensure concurrency with aircraft configurations.
