Job summary

Millennium Health & Fitness, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking an Associate Director to manage daily fitness center operations, supervise staff, and coordinate schedules across shifts. The role includes administering fitness programs and ensuring a safe, professionally operated facility onsite.

You will provide onsite leadership during assigned shifts and support continuity of fitness center management when the Director is unavailable, while aligning with NRC procedures and company policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Fitness Management, Exercise Physiology, or another accredited fitness-related field.
• Current certification from ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NCCPT, or comparable organization.
• Minimum six months of management and supervisory experience.
• Minimum one year of experience with fitness assessments, program design/instruction, and operating fitness facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily fitness center operations.
• Supervise assigned fitness personnel during scheduled shifts.
• Coordinate schedules and required staffing coverage.
• Provide onsite leadership during the Director's absence.
• Conduct fitness assessments and exercise instruction.
• Design individualized exercise programs.
• Coordinate and participate in fitness classes and activities.
• Maintain member records and support enrollment procedures.
• Monitor facility safety and equipment condition.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment repair coordination.
• Support fitness program outreach and member participation.
• Respond to member inquiries and provide customer service.
• Assist with operational reporting and administrative duties.
• Maintain compliance with NRC operating and safety procedures.
