Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions in Dededo, Guam, is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance, repair, alteration, demolition, and minor construction across Field Office Spaces, latrines, trailers, and GFP assets in accordance with the PWS; a pay rate of 38.00/hr is offered.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of facilities maintenance experience, knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, grounding, water), ability to follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least two years of maintenance experience in a facilities environment.
• Experience with general maintenance, repair, demolition, and minor construction across various facility types.
• Knowledge of building systems including electrical distribution, HVAC, fire protection, grounding devices, and water distribution.
• Ability to follow preventive maintenance schedules and document maintenance activities.
• Ability to safely operate general maintenance tools, carpentry tools, and power equipment.
• Training that meets federal, GEPA, and host installation environmental and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor construction, repair, alteration, and demolition across facilities.
• Install and repair structural components including finishes, roofing, foundations, and doors.
• Perform O&M tasks including repair, replacement, alteration, demolition, and minor construction at all sites.
• Maintain interior/exterior finishes, roofing, foundations, and locks.
• Repair building systems including HVAC, fire protection, grounding, and water distribution.
• Support preventive maintenance programs on a weekly, monthly, and semi-annual basis.
• Respond to emergency work requests within one hour; complete urgent repairs within 24 hours.
• Document repairs and assist with monthly O&M status reporting.
