Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks an ES&H Specialist in Oak Ridge, TN to provide onsite environmental, safety, and health oversight for construction activities. The role requires visible field presence, daily planning participation, and proactive hazard mitigation to protect personnel and the environment.

The candidate will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, DOE/State requirements, and company safety standards while collaborating with project teams and client representatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years safety and health experience in construction environments.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Training.
• Field safety oversight on active construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and enforcement in the field.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite ES&H oversight to ensure safety compliance with project safety standards.
• Participate in daily pre-job briefings to review activities, identify hazards, and verify controls.
• Serve as ES&H point of contact for safety concerns, incidents, and emergency response.
• Monitor field activities to identify hazardous conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Environmental, Safety & Health programs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop relationships with project management, craft personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives.
