Job summary

Catalent's Madison, Wisconsin site is a state-of-the-art biologics development and manufacturing facility supporting customers from research through early- and mid-stage clinical production. The Associate Engineer – Engineering will perform hands-on equipment lifecycle activities, draft SOPs, manage asset induction and retirement, and support validation and change control efforts.

This onsite role requires 1–2 years of related experience or a relevant degree and offers a hands-on environment

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of related work experience in engineering or tech field
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading documents, computer use, reaching, communication, and writing, with occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on equipment lifecycle activities including installation, onboarding, calibration, maintenance, and retirement
  • Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and validation documentation
  • Manage asset induction and retirement requests
  • Coordinate calibration and setup activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support change control implementation and contribute to training development for new technologies
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures as needed
  • Edit and modify Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operations, maintenance, and calibration
  • Identify improvements and efficiencies in equipment lifecycle and reliability engineering
  • Create and maintain all aspects of equipment design files
  • Complete change control tasks related to equipment, including writing or updating procedures, identifying spare parts, and supporting new technology introduction
  • Partner with equipment technicians to ensure proper implementation of preventative and repair maintenance activities
  • Support process improvement implementation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
