Magnit Global is seeking a Data Scientist for a contractor role in Jackson, MI. You will develop models to detect energy theft using diverse datasets, including work orders, smart meters, and outage data, employing neural networks and ML techniques.

You will present results to leaders and stakeholders across the company. We require a strong background in Python, R, SQL, and data science methodology, with the ability to explain complex outputs to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's/PhD in Data Science, Statistics, or Math preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify energy theft using data science on diverse datasets; build and evaluate models with 80%+ accuracy.
• Prepare and present models and dashboards for all levels of the company.
• Provide demos of working solutions and resolve data issues; explain outputs to non-technical audiences.
