Job summary

SpatialGIS is seeking a Data Engineer (Level 2-3) to design and evolve scalable data pipelines for analytics, reporting, and ML initiatives. You will develop robust ETL/ELT workflows, model data warehouses and lakehouse environments, and champion governance and security.

This onsite role requires travel up to 15% to Scott AFB, IL and MacDill AFB, FL. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and engineers will be key to translating business needs into reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, and automating ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) required.
• Strong SQL, Python and/or Scala programming and querying skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Architect data models, warehouses, and lakehouse environments.
• Optimize performance with partitioning, indexing, and tuning.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and automate production data pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers on data solutions.
